A Mission-Driven Approach to Grant Success

Since 2019, I've been driven by a simple belief: every organization with a clear mission to serve others should have access to the resources they need to create lasting impact. This conviction led me from in-house grant writing to founding Golden Isles Grant Writing—a consultancy built on sustainable partnerships rather than one-time transactions.

My journey began working directly with nonprofits tackling some of our community's most pressing challenges: anti-human trafficking, addiction recovery, homelessness, youth programs, and faith-based initiatives. These experiences taught me that successful grant writing isn't just about crafting compelling proposals—it's about understanding the heart behind the mission and translating that passion into sustainable funding strategies.

In 2022, I made the leap to full-time consulting, determined to expand my reach beyond a single organization. Since then, I've had the privilege of partnering with more than two dozen nonprofit clients across the Southeast, helping them secure over $2.5 million in funding while identifying millions more in potential grant opportunities through strategic funding plans.

Homelessness & Housing Initiatives -Understanding the complex funding landscape for housing programs, emergency shelters, and supportive services that address root causes of homelessness.
Human Services Organizations - Working with nonprofits serving vulnerable populations, from domestic violence shelters to youth programs, addiction recovery services, and community support initiatives.
Faith Communities & Mission-Driven Organizations - Partnering with faith-based nonprofits and other mission-driven organizations that integrate values into their service delivery while navigating diverse funding requirements.

Beyond Professional Success -Community Impact

My commitment to community service extends beyond my consulting work. I serve on the board of directors for No Kill Glynn County, our local animal rescue, and as Vice President on the Glynn Community Crisis Center Executive Board—our region's domestic violence shelter. These roles keep me connected to the daily realities of nonprofit leadership and the funding challenges organizations face.

In my free time, you'll often find me fostering animals (currently helping socialize puppies for adoption!), reading by the beach, or creating educational content about grant writing. These experiences remind me why this work matters and fuel my passion for helping organizations succeed.

I hold a Bachelor's Degree from the College of Coastal Georgia in Public Management with a Nonprofit Leadership concentration—an education that combined practical nonprofit management skills with grant writing expertise. I'm also a certified grant writer through the University of Georgia and Learn Grant Writing, ensuring my skills stay current with industry best practices.

My real expertise comes from years of hands-on experience, from writing my first grant proposal to developing comprehensive funding strategies for organizations across multiple sectors. I've seen what works, what doesn't, and most importantly, what creates sustainable funding success over time.
